Random Color Picker with HEX and RGB Codes

Spin the color wheel to land on a random color, and read its HEX and RGB codes straight off the screen. Every result comes with the exact values you need to paste into a design tool, a stylesheet or a paint mixer, and colors you like can be saved to your favorites for the rest of the session.

How to Use the Color Wheel Spinner

  1. Spin the wheel — it lands on a random color from across the spectrum.
  2. Copy the code — the HEX value (like #6366F1) and the RGB values are shown with the result.
  3. Save the ones you like — add a color to favorites and keep spinning to build a palette.

Building a Random Color Palette

Designers use random color as a starting point, not a finished answer. Spin three or four times, save the results, and you have an unbiased palette that avoids the colors you always reach for by habit. From there you can adjust the values by hand — a random color name and code is far easier to refine than a blank canvas.

What a Color Wheel Spinner Is Good For

Color Wheel Questions

What do the HEX and RGB codes mean?

They are two ways of writing the same color. HEX (#6366F1) is the shorthand used in web design and most graphics tools; RGB (99, 102, 241) gives the red, green and blue values separately, which is what paint and lighting software usually expects.

Can I get the same color twice?

It is possible but very unlikely — the wheel draws from a wide range of shades, so repeats are rare in a normal session.

Does it work for color-blind users?

Every result is shown as a code as well as a swatch, so the exact color is readable without relying on being able to distinguish it by eye.

Want to spin for something other than colors? Try the wheel of names, the number wheel or the letter wheel, or see every option on the all tools page.
