Tournament Bracket
Randomly seeded brackets for any competition
🥇 Building a Bracket
- Open the Tournament Bracket Generator and add your participants, one per line
- Use the quick-add buttons for a standard 4, 8, 16 or 32-entry field
- Choose single or double elimination
- Generate the bracket — seeding is randomised, so no one gets an easy draw by arrangement
- Click a name in any match to mark them the winner; later rounds fill in automatically
- Export or print the finished bracket to pin up or share
💡 Tips
Byes
An entry count that is not a power of two gives byes in round one; they are assigned randomly too
Team events
Build the teams with the Team Picker first, then seed the team names into the bracket
Re-seeding
Generate again for a completely fresh draw before any results are entered
Team Picker
Split a list of names into random teams
⚡ Generating Teams
- Open the Team Picker Wheel and paste your names, one per line
- Choose how many teams you want, from 2 up to 20
- Leave "Allow uneven teams" ticked so extra people are spread evenly rather than piled onto one side
- Tick "Use custom team names" to label the teams yourself, or use the sports name template
- Click Generate Teams — then copy, download or print the result
💡 Tips
Re-roll instantly
Generate again for a completely different split; nothing is remembered between runs
Paste from a spreadsheet
A column of names pastes straight in, one name per line
Fixed group sizes
If the size of each group matters more than the number of teams, use the Group Picker instead
Group Picker
Sort names into random groups by count or by size
🔀 Making Groups
- Open the Group Picker and paste your names, one per line
- Choose "Number of groups" for a fixed count, or "People per group" when the size matters
- Enter the number — for example 4 groups, or groups of 4
- Pick how the groups are labelled: numbers, letters or colors
- Click Generate Groups, then copy, download or print the list
💡 Tips
Leftovers
In size mode the remainder is spread across the groups, so nobody ends up in a group on their own
Keep your order
Tick "Keep the order I typed" to split a pre-sorted list into blocks without shuffling it
Classroom stations
Size mode matches a fixed number of seats or workstations far better than a group count does
